The Big Edit
I recently moved to the beach. I am beyond excited to live this life. I’ve dreamed of it for 10 years. Yes, really, 10 years.
Moving here meant downsizing. A LOT. I went from about 1500 sq ft and an unfinished basement that was completely full to 900 sq ft and no shed, basement, garage or really attic. I wish I could say I got it all in the house, but I have a storage unit for the bikes, kayak, beach chairs and Christmas decorations. I have two full boxes of pictures that won’t fit on the walls and I have about 20 bins of childhood memorabilia and toddler toys stashed in my dad’s attic because someday, when I have grandchildren, I will want those awesome brio train tracks and wooden puzzles!
All of this sorting, selling, donating and tossing has got me thinking about life. We fill our days with activities. We scroll through social media and long for more – more friends, more money, more activities, more vacations, more, more, more. We all know that more does not equal happy. In fact, research shows the opposite. Yet, we are always seeking the next best thing.
As a former competitive athlete and a recovering Type A personality, I have always focused on how to improve.
“You hit your goal? Great. What’s next?”
Does that sound like you?
If you are ready to get off that hamster wheel and start editing down to the essentials, I’d love to talk with you. I’m developing a new program, Moxie Makeover. It’s a 10-week program to help find joy, purpose and Moxie!
In the coming weeks, I’m going to roll out different aspects of the program to get feedback from you! If you’d like to be a part of designing and testing this new program, I’d love to hear from you. Message me in the comments and I’ll get back to you shortly.
I can’t wait to start helping others to edit out the extra and find joy!
