Take that chance!

More than six years ago, I had an amazing opportunity to go to Italy on short notice. I went alone. I didn't speak the language. I stayed for free in an acquaintance's beautiful home in the Tuscan mountains. I had one thing planned, a cooking class. Otherwise, it was a blank slate filled with opportunities. It was a magical, empowering and beautiful experience. I have so many fond memories: watching a bike race speed by, sitting in the hot springs of White Whale, a local favorite, sitting by a lake surrounded by wildflowers with the mountains in front of me, amazing food, wine and my favorite, listening to a baroque ensemble in a small countryside cathedral. It was breathtaking. The music literally flowed through and over me. There are times in life when we have to take a chance and go for something that seems risky or different. There are times when we have to cast off the bowlines and sail out of safe harbors. I got the chance to do that and I am incredibly grateful. What have you done that didn't make sense to others but was magical for you? Signup for my weekly inspiration.
