Keep Being You!

"To the women who are labeled: aggressive: keep being assertive, bossy: keep on leading, difficult: keep telling the truth, too much: keep taking up space, awkward: keep asking hard questions. Please don't shrink yourself to make people happy. Be yourself. You're beautiful that way." I say this often. "I'm a lot. I'm not for everyone and I'm OK with that." There have been times in my life when I tried to tame my enthusiasm, when I tried to quiet my voice and when I tried to fit in. I won't do that anymore because I know that I am a unique, fun, lively and motivating individual. I stand out and add value because of these traits. I won't stop being me or apologizing for it anymore. And you shouldn't either.
