Forgive for Yourself

Have you ever forgiven someone who didn't ask for forgiveness? I have. At first, it was really hard. REALLY hard. I mean seriously, they were wrong. They hurt me. But here's the thing. They didn't know I was still angry or hurt (maybe). More importantly, when I stayed mad, I continued to give them power and control. Read that again. When you continue to be mad at someone, you give them power and control! Yeah, no. So, I forgave them. I moved on. I let go. I stopped thinking about it. And you know what? I was happier. I was FREE! When you forgive, you are doing it as much for yourself as the other person and that's a beautiful thing. You control who gets in your head and heart. So choose wisely. Forgive quickly and totally. It will change your life.
